ក្រសួងព័ត៌មានបានបញ្ជាក់វិធានការផ្លូវការចំពោះអ្នកសារព័ត៌មានដែលប្រព្រឹត្តិខុសវិន័យវិជ្ជាជីវៈក្នុងកិច្ចសម្ភាសន៍ពិសេសមួយថ្មីៗ។ ក្នុងសំណេះសំណាលនេះ តំណាងក្រសួងបានពន្យល់ថា ការចាត់វិធាននឹងផ្អែកលើច្បាប់សារព័ត៌មាន និងបទបញ្ជាផ្ទៃក្នុង រួមទាំងការពិចារណាពីកម្រិតធ្ងន់ធ្ងរនៃការខុសក្រោមបណ្តាញព័ត៌មាន និងប៉ះពាល់ដល់សង្គម។ គ្រោងវិធានការអាចរួមមាន ការព្រមានជាផ្លូវការ ការផ្អាកអាជ្ញាប័ណ្ណបណ្តោះអាសន្ន ឬការដកអាជ្ញាប័ណ្ណ ប្រសិនបើការខុសធ្វើឡើងញឹកញាប់ ឬប៉ះពាល់ដល់សុវត្ថិភាពសាធារណៈ។ ក្រសួងក៏បានលើកឡើងពីការចាប់ផ្តើមឲ្យមានការបណ្តុះបណ្តាលបន្ថែម ដើម្បីលើកកម្ពស់ចំណេះដឹងវិជ្ជាជីវៈ និងការយល់ដឹងអំពីក្រមសីលធម៌សារព័ត៌មាន។

តំណាងក្រសួងព័ត៌មានបានបន្ថែមថា គោលបំណងនៃវិធានការទាំងនេះ មិនមែនដើម្បីកម្ទេចសេរីភាពសារព័ត៌មានទេ ប៉ុន្តែមកលើកស្ទួយសមត្ថកិច្ចវិជ្ជាជីវៈ និងការទទួលខុសត្រូវក្នុងការបំផុសព័ត៌មាន។ ក្រសួងបានលើកស្ទួយឲ្យសារព័ត៌មានគ្រប់ប្រភេទ បន្តធ្វើការផ្សព្វផ្សាយយ៉ាងមានតុល្យភាព ពិនិត្យប្រភពជាក់លាក់ មិនបំភាន់សាធារណជន និងគោរពច្បាប់ជាតិ។ ក្រសួងក៏អំពាវនាវឲ្យប្រជាពលរដ្ឋ និងស្ថាប័នពាក់ព័ន្ធ ប្រសិនបើមានករណីសារព័ត៌មានខុសវិជ្ជាជីវៈ ឬបំផុសព័ត៌មានមិនត្រឹមត្រូវ ត្រូវជម្រាបជូនក្រសួងតាមបណ្តាញទំនាក់ទំនងផ្លូវការ ដែលអាចជួយដល់ការស៊ើបអង្កេត និងការគ្រប់គ្រងវិស័យសារព័ត៌មានឲ្យប្រសើរឡើង។

Information Ministry measures on unethical journalists

The Ministry of Information outlined formal measures against journalists who violate professional ethics in a recent special interview. According to the ministry representative, sanctions will be applied based on the Press Law and internal regulations, taking into account the severity of the violation, the spread of the information and its impact on public order and social stability. Possible actions include official warnings, temporary suspension of press licenses, or revocation of licenses in repeated or serious cases that harm public security or seriously mislead the public. The ministry also highlighted plans for additional training and capacity building to strengthen professional standards and awareness of media ethics among journalists and media outlet owners.

The official stressed that these measures are not intended to restrict press freedom but to promote responsible journalism and protect the public from false or distorted information. The ministry called on all media organizations to verify sources carefully, avoid incitement and defamation, and respect national laws while reporting on political, economic and social affairs. It also encouraged citizens and relevant institutions to report suspected cases of unethical or inaccurate reporting through official complaint channels, so that authorities can investigate and take timely action. The approach aims to balance press freedom with accountability and support a more professional and credible media environment in Cambodia.
