Cambodia Strengthens Provincial Hospitals

Cambodia's Ministry of Health has dispatched senior officials to enhance the quality of healthcare services at four district hospitals in Kratie province. Dr. Keo Rotha, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Health, along with Deputy Secretary Buntha, made the visit from October 20 to 24, 2025. During the visit, Dr. Rotha conveyed messages of the Minister of Health's appreciation and greetings to the healthcare staff at these hospitals. He emphasized the need for continuous dedication to providing high-quality, efficient, and equitable healthcare services to all citizens, especially the underprivileged.

Dr. Rotha remarked that this marks the fifth visit to strengthen district hospital services in Kratie within a year. The team praised the consistent progress of these hospitals, underscoring the government's commitment to public health, as part of the policies championed by former Prime Minister Hun Sen and continued under Prime Minister Hun Manet. These strategies aim to elevate the national health system, reduce patient transfer costs to national hospitals, and prevent citizens from financial burdens.
