សម្ដេចតេជោ ហ៊ុន សែន ប្រធានព្រឹទ្ធសភា បានបញ្ជាក់ថា តាំងពីប្រទេសថៃ បានបិទព្រំដែនដោយឯកតោភាគី រដ្ឋាភិបាលកម្ពុជា មិនដែលសុំបើកច្រកព្រំដែនម្តងណាឡើយ។ ហ៊ុន សែនបានប្រាប់ថា ប្រសិនបើថៃបិទ១០០ឆ្នាំទៀត ក៏ខ្មែរមិនងាប់ដែរ។ ការបញ្ជាក់នេះធើ្វឡើងនៅពិធីបើកអនុសំវច្ឆរមហាសន្និបាតមន្ដ្រីសង្ឃផ្ទាល់ខ្លួននៅវិទ្យាស្ថានជាតិអប់រំ។ រដ្ឋាភិបាលកម្ពុជាប្រឆាំងនឹងការស្នើបើកព្រំដែនវិញ ហើយមិនបានធ្វើសំណើរ ឱ្យថៃបើកឡើយ។

Cambodia Not Negotiating Thai Border Reopening

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has asserted that since Thailand unilaterally closed the border, the Cambodian government has not requested its reopening. Hun Sen emphasized that even if Thailand were to keep the border closed for the next 100 years, Cambodia would not be affected. This statement was made during the opening of the annual monks' assembly at the National Institute of Education. The Cambodian government firmly opposes any negotiation for reopening the border and has made no requests to Thailand.

The unilateral closure by Thailand has significant implications, but Cambodia is focusing on strengthening its production capabilities and finding new markets. Hun Sen advised Cambodians not to boycott products made in Cambodia by Thai investors.
