The ministry has expressed deep concern about reports that Thailand has suspended the implementation of a joint statement signed by Thailand, Cambodia, and the U.S. president. This suspension is linked to a landmine explosion on the Cambodia-Thai border that injured two Thai soldiers.

The Cambodian government remains committed to the implementation of the joint statement, emphasizing that it will not deploy new landmines, and rejects the accusations by Thailand regarding the placement of new mines. Cambodia highlighted that the mines along the border are remnants from previous civil conflicts.
