ក្រសួងការពារជាតិបានអំពាវនាវនៅរាជធានីភ្នំពេញ ថ្ងៃទី៩ ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ២០២៥ ឱ្យប្រជាពលរដ្ឋ និងអ្នកប្រើបណ្ដាញសង្គម បញ្ឈប់ការផ្សព្វផ្សាយទាន់ពេលនូវព័ត៌មាន វីដេអូ និងរូបភាពដែលបង្ហាញពីសកម្មភាពប្រតិបត្តិការយោធារំដោះជាបន្ទាន់។ ក្រសួងបានបញ្ជាក់ថា ព័ត៌មានដែលត្រូវជៀសវាងរួមមានផែនទី ការបង្ហាញចល័ត ឬការដាក់ពង្រាយកងទ័ព ទីតាំងឈរជើង លេណដ្ឋាន និងជំរុំជម្រក ការផ្លាស់ទីសព្វាវុធ ផ្លូវផ្គត់ផ្គង់សម្ភារៈ ឬស្បៀងអាហារ របស់កងទ័ព តាមបណ្ដាញ Facebook TikTok Youtube និងប្រព័ន្ធផ្សព្វផ្សាយផ្សេងៗទាំងអស់។ ក្រសួងពន្យល់ថា ការបង្ហោះព័ត៌មានបែបនេះអាចប៉ះពាល់ដល់សុវត្ថិភាពកងកម្លាំង និងបំពានលើការសម្ងាត់យោធា ដែលជាកត្តាសំខាន់សម្រាប់ការពារប្រទេសជាតិ។

Defense Ministry urges halt to sharing military operation details online

Cambodia's Ministry of National Defence has called on the public and social media users to immediately stop sharing any information, videos or images that reveal details of military operations. In a statement issued in Phnom Penh on 9 December 2025, the ministry said the restriction covers maps, troop movements and deployments, locations of bases and positions, temporary camps, movements of weapons, as well as supply routes for equipment and food. The guidance applies to all social media platforms, including Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, and to any other form of media distribution.

The ministry said the measure aims to protect the safety of Cambodian forces and preserve military secrecy, which it described as essential to national defence. It warned that publishing operational details or sensitive images could expose troops and facilities to risk and potentially benefit hostile actors in times of tension or conflict. The ministry urged citizens to act responsibly online and to share only official information that has been released by state institutions or the ministry itself. By following these instructions, the public is expected to contribute to safeguarding national security and supporting the work of the armed forces.
