Minister Calls for Action Over Rice Pricing Concerns

Cambodia's Minister of Agriculture, Dit Thina, has urged farmers to transform sympathy into concrete actions. In response to widespread concerns over low rice prices, he emphasized practical measures to address this national issue by calling on processing factories to purchase rice from farmers at fair prices and landowners to reduce rental fees as part of a collective effort.

He further encouraged financial institutions to consider delayed payments for agricultural loans, aiming to alleviate the financial burdens on farmers and support sustainable agricultural practices in the region.
