Prey Veng Exports Nearly 2.7 Million Tons of Rice to Vietnam Worth Over $564 Million

Prey Veng province exported approximately 2.69 million tons of rice to Vietnam between January and November 2025. This export, which includes processed rice, generated a total revenue of over $564 million. The average price of wet rice in the fields was priced at 660 riels per kilogram. According to Ouk Samnang, head of the Prey Veng Provincial Department of Agriculture, the cultivation of dry season rice in 2025-2026 covered 12,927 hectares.

Agricultural products included sugar cane, corn, and beans, with successful yields demonstrating a thriving sector. As of November 18, 2025, agriculture and industry in the province have experienced steady growth, positioning rice exports to Vietnam and local markets as a profitable endeavor.
