Joint Declaration Signing Between Cambodia and Thailand

On October 26, 2025, the leaders of Cambodia and Thailand signed a historic joint declaration in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia and Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul of Thailand were thanked by President Donald J. Trump for their commitments towards peace and collaboration. The Joint Declaration emphasizes continued cooperation aimed at enhancing the welfare of their respective populations.

Cambodia has shown strong intentions to implement the Declaration and work closely with Thailand. Prime Minister Hun Manet has expressed hope for the quick release of 18 Cambodian soldiers, detained on humanitarian grounds, as part of the agreement's terms.
