Thailand's Border Assault on Cambodia

Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented a briefing on the Thai military assault using heavy weaponry at the Cambodia-Thailand border. The attack resulted in numerous casualties, as Thailand disregarded international agreements. Secretary of State Eat Sophea emphasized the human rights violations and the continued use of armed forces to determine borders.

ASEAN observers and international organizations expressed concern over the suffering of Cambodian civilians. 33 diplomatic missions participated in the briefing to address concerns about security conditions along the border. The current situation could increase regional security tensions.
