Cambodia Reaffirms Its Commitment to Combat Transnational Crimes. The Royal Government of Cambodia has expressed a strong resolve to combat all forms of transnational crime, which include online scams, human trafficking, and other cyber-enabled offenses. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, Cambodian authorities have made significant achievements in dismantling criminal networks and bringing perpetrators to justice. Emphasizing the complexity of the modern online crime landscape, Cambodia calls for responsible communication that aids law enforcement in protecting vulnerable populations.

Over the past two years, Cambodia has intensified efforts to tackle online scam networks through strengthened laws, inter-agency coordination, and international cooperation, resulting in the closure of illegal compounds and arrests. The government has also coordinated with the Republic of Korea and other partners for successful operations and victim repatriations. Cambodia aims to continue enhancing law enforcement capabilities and partnerships to ensure regional security and prosperity.
