នៅថ្ងៃទី២០ ខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ កម្ពុជានិងហ្វីលីពីនបានពង្រឹងកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការនិងផ្លាស់ប្តូរបទពិសោធន៍លើការងារអភិវឌ្ឍសហគមន៍ឥស្លាម តាមរយៈជំនួបការងារនៅទីក្រុងម៉ានីល។ លោកបណ្ឌិត អូស្មាន ហាស្សាន់ ទេសរដ្ឋមន្ត្រីបេសកកម្មពិសេស បានជួបពិភាក្សាជាមួយលោក Sabuddin N. Abdurahim រដ្ឋមន្ត្រីគណៈកម្មាធិការជាតិទទួលបន្ទុកកិច្ចការមុស្លិមហ្វីលីពីន ដើម្បីពិភាក្សាអំពីវឌ្ឍនភាពសហគមន៍ឥស្លាមនៅកម្ពុជា ការគ្រប់គ្រងការងារហាជ្ជី និងការអប់រំឥស្លាម។ លោកទេសរដ្ឋមន្ត្រីបានលើកឡើងពីការកើនឡើងចំនួនសាសនិកឥស្លាមកម្ពុជាទៅបំពេញកាតព្វកិច្ចហាជ្ជី ដែលឆ្នាំ២០២៥ មាន១២០០នាក់ និងឆ្នាំ២០២៦ មានបំណងលើស១៥០០នាក់ ខណៈកូតាដែលអារ៉ាប៊ីសាអូឌីតអនុញ្ញាតមានត្រឹម១២០០នាក់ បណ្តាលឱ្យកម្ពុជា ស្នើសុំបន្ថែម២៥០នាក់ទៀត។

ភាគីហ្វីលីពីនបានលើកស្ថានភាពសាសនិកឥស្លាមប្រហែល១៣លាននាក់ ក្នុងប្រជាជនសរុបជាង១១២លាននាក់ និងតួនាទីគណៈកម្មាធិការជាតិទទួលបន្ទុកកិច្ចការមុស្លិមហ្វីលីពីន ក្នុងការគ្រប់គ្រងហាជ្ជី អប់រំវ៉ាកាហ្វ ហ្សាកាត់ មស្ជិត និងហាឡាល់ ដែលឆ្នាំ២០២៦ នឹងផ្ញើសាសនិក៥៣០០នាក់ទៅបំពេញកាតព្វកិច្ចហាជ្ជី។ ដើម្បីបញ្ជាក់ការប្តេជ្ញាចិត្តរួម ទេសរដ្ឋមន្ត្រី អូស្មាន ហាស្សាន់ និងរដ្ឋមន្ត្រី Sabuddin បានចុះហត្ថលេខាលើអនុស្សារណៈនៃការយោគយល់គ្នា ស្តីពីការផ្លាស់ប្តូរឧត្តមានុវត្ត និងការអភិវឌ្ឍវិស័យវ៉ាកាហ្វ ហ្សាកាត់ ហាឡាល់ និងហាជ្ជីរវាងប្រទេសទាំងពីរ ដែលរំពឹងថាជួយលើកកម្ពស់គុណភាពសេវាសាសនា និងការអភិវឌ្ឍសហគមន៍ឥស្លាមទាំងសងខាង។

Cambodia, Philippines expand cooperation on Muslim community development

Cambodia and the Philippines have agreed to strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences on Muslim community development following a working meeting in Manila on 20 February 2026. Dr Osman Hassan, Minister Delegate attached to the Prime Minister of Cambodia, met with Sabuddin N. Abdurahim, Secretary of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, at the commission's headquarters to discuss progress of the Muslim community in Cambodia and management of Hajj and Islamic affairs. Osman briefed his counterpart on the growing number of Cambodian Muslims performing Hajj, noting that 1,200 pilgrims travelled in 2025 and more than 1,500 intend to go in 2026, while Saudi Arabia has set Cambodia's quota at 1,200. Cambodia has requested an additional 250 slots, which the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is currently considering.

The Philippine side outlined the situation of its Muslim population, estimated at about 13 million out of more than 112 million citizens nationwide, and the mandate of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos in overseeing Hajj, Islamic education, waqf, zakat, mosques and halal affairs. For 2026, the Philippines plans to send 5,300 pilgrims under the commission's coordination. To formalise their commitment, Osman and Sabuddin signed a memorandum of understanding on exchanging delegations and developing cooperation in waqf, zakat, halal and Hajj between the two countries, which is expected to improve religious services and support Muslim community development in both Cambodia and the Philippines.
