Hun Sen Urges Cambodians to Remain Balanced in Thai Goods Issue

Hun Sen, the Prime Minister of Cambodia, has called on citizens not to overreact to the issue of Thai goods. He stated that even if companies are Thai-owned, if their products are made in Cambodia, they should be considered Cambodian goods. This appeal was made during the opening of the National Sangha Conference held at the National Institute of Education. Hun Sen emphasized that such balanced actions will ensure economic growth and stability of investments in the country.

Hun Sen used the case of PTT gas stations, which previously sourced oil from Thailand but now import from Singapore, to illustrate the importance of maintaining a national economy and consuming locally produced goods. He reiterated support for all industries within Cambodia and urged for the continued boost of domestic agriculture.
