Cambodia's Proposal to Motorola for Industrial Expansion

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol has urged Motorola Inc to explore the feasibility of establishing a factory in Cambodia. During a meeting with Hallie Offen, head of government affairs for Asia Pacific and international trade at Motorola, discussions focused on technological development, public safety, and attracting electronic component factories to Cambodia. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted favorable investment conditions under new laws. Motorola expressed positive interest in Cambodia's new investment environment and government’s commitment to infrastructure modernization.

The meeting marks a significant step in attracting investment into Cambodia's technology and communication sectors. Motorola will evaluate the potential of establishing factories in Cambodia, which contributes to strengthening its global supply chain and creating skilled jobs in the country. The company plans to work closely with the Cambodian Development Council to assess business expansion opportunities.
