Cambodia Bans Import and Distribution of Electronic Smoking Devices

The Cambodian government has issued a ban on the import, distribution, sale, and advertisement of electronic smoking devices and related chemical substances. This measure aims to curb the use of electronic and chemical smoking devices among youths, which poses social and health risks. The growing use of these devices among young people threatens public health and order, as well as student and educational staff well-being.

The prohibition covers all forms of importation, distribution, and advertisement. In addition, the Ministry of Health is tasked with educating the public on the dangers of electronic smoking devices. This regulation is part of a broader strategy to improve human resource quality and public health in Cambodia.
