Minister Celebrates Buddhist Kathina Ceremony

Minister Chhay Rithysen of the Ministry of Rural Development presided over a grand Kathina ceremony at Wat Kbal Koh. The event saw participation from government officials and local Buddhist followers. On the morning of Sunday, the ceremony included the traditional procession of the Kathina offering embraced joyfully by officials and the community at Wat Kbal Koh, aimed at constructing a Buddhist primary school within the temple precincts to enhance local human resources.

The Kathina festival is held in Kampong Chhnang province with the engagement of officials and Buddhist followers. This event aims to raise funds for the construction of a community school building and foster human resource development in alignment with the government's strategic plan under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet. The ceremony seeks to promote unity and support Buddhism's growth.
