ក្រសួងកសិកម្មរុក្ខាប្រមាញ់និងនេសាទបានប្រកាសនៅថ្ងៃទី១៥ ខែវិច្ឆិកា ឆ្នាំ២០២៥ថា។ គ្មានសត្វផ្សោតស្លាប់នៅក្នុងបណ្ដាខែចុងក្រោយនៅក្នុងកម្ពុជានោះទេ។ នេះជាលើកដំបូងនៃប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រដែលបានកត់ត្រារហូតមក តាំងពីពេលចាប់ផ្តើមការតាមដាន។ ក្រសួងក៏បានចាប់ផ្តើមអភិរក្សនិងការពារសត្វផ្សោតក្នុងមេគង្គយ៉ាងយកចិត្តទុកដាក់។

Cambodia Reports Zero Dolphin Deaths in 2025

The Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries announced on November 15, 2025, that no dolphin deaths have been reported in Cambodia over the last year. This marks the first time in the country's history, since monitoring began in 2002, that such a record has been achieved. The ministry highlighted successful conservation and protection efforts of the Mekong dolphins, attributing this milestone to the dedicated management and preservation programs in place.

The success of these efforts also led to an increase in the dolphin population, now totaling 111. The government and related authorities, including national and local fisheries departments, have been commended for their focus and dedication. Notably, Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, previously called for decisive measures to protect the Mekong dolphins, contributing to the improved situation.
